Julie Delpy to Make Her Directorial Debut with "Bathory"

Actress/screenwriter Julie Delpy ("Before Sunset") will make her debut behind the camera with "Bathory," in which she'll be re-joining frequent co-star Ethan Hawke ("Assault on Precinct 13").

Ms. Delpy's screenplay is, according to The Hollywood Reporter, based on the story of "the legendary Elizabeth Bathory, who inspired many a vampire myth with sadistic rituals that included bathing in the blood of virgins." The newly christened Bauer Martinez Distribution will handle the finances and the release on "Bathory."

If she's half as good as director as she is as actress, the film should be really good. And I love her chemistry with Hawke. Before sunset and Before sunrise are 2 of my favorites movies the year they came out.
