  • charge d'interprétation… Si je chante, c'est en partie grâce à lui. Ma mère écoutait souvent
  • l'un de ses 25 centimètres: Léo Ferré chante Aragon. J'ai encore ce disque chez moi… Pendant
  • longtemps, il n'a pas du tout été considéré comme interprète, à l'inverse de Brassens ou de
  • Brel. Léo déroutait: il était un peu sulfureux, les gens trouvaient sa voix bizarre, son physique
  • étrange, ses métaphores folles. En 1968-1970, lorsqu'il a rencontré la pop music et collaboré
  • avec le groupe Zoo et les Moody Blues, il a jeté un pont vers les Doors, Patti Smith, Lou Reed,
  • devenant une sorte de Rimbaud en musique, reconnu par tous …».
  • • Bernard Lavilliers est intarissable depuis longtemps sur Léo Ferré. En quelques rencontres,
  • sur la fin de la mythique carrière du chanteur monégasque, les deux hommes étaient devenus
  • amis. Léo Ferré était fier de voir en Lavilliers sa propre relève sur une certaine idée de
  • l’engagement en chansons. Depuis longtemps, Lavilliers reprenait des chansons de Léo. Il en
  • a même «fixé» quelques-unes sur ses propres albums («Est-ce ainsi que les hommes vivent ?»,
  • «Préface») et a bien sûr participé à l’album hommage «Avec Léo !» en 2003 en reprenant «La
  • mémoire et la mer». Il manquait «seulement» un vrai spectacle totalement dédié à la fraternité
  • des deux artistes. «Lavilliers chante Ferré» fut donc mis en chantier en 2006. En un temps
  • record, un pari quasi insensé pour Bernard qui sortait à peine de la tournée marathon de son
  • album «Carnets de bord». Un répertoire de plus de 25 titres, des concerts enregistrés avec un
  • orchestre symphonique et près de 20 dates en France. En voici le témoignage.
