While Jay Ward's classic 1960s cartoon series THE ROCKY & BULLWINKLE SHOW mainly chronicled the Cold War intrigues of its moose and squirrel heroes, the series featured an equally iconic cast of supporting characters in smart and sophisticated between-scene segments. One of the most beloved of these was DUDLEY DO-RIGHT, which parodied 1920s-era silent films with the adventures of a hopelessly clueless Canadian Mountie. Together with his trusty equine sidekick, Dudley incompetently rescued damsels in distress from railroad-tying archvillain Snidely Whiplash--including Dudley's own love interest Nell, who harbored a somewhat Freudian attraction to his horse. Clever and funny with a decidedly grownup appeal, this nostalgic collection presents 15 vintage Dudley Do-Right cartoons, including "Mother Whiplash's Log Jam," "Niagara Falls," and "Marigolds."
