While Jay Ward's classic 1960s cartoon series THE ROCKY & BULLWINKLE SHOW mainly chronicled the Cold War intrigues of its moose and squirrel heroes, the series featured an equally iconic cast of supporting characters in smart and sophisticated between-scene segments. This collection honors two of the series' most beloved supporting segments: "Dudley Do-Right," which parodied 1920s silent films through the misadventures of a hopelessly clueless Canadian Mountie and his railroad-tying archvillain, Snidely Whiplash; and "Peabody's Improbable History," which upended the standard boy-and-his-dog formula with a brainy talking canine, Mr. Peabody, and his "pet boy" sidekick, Sherman, who travelled back in time though the Wayback Machine to meet a host of famous people. Clever and funny with a decidedly grownup appeal, the collection presents 15 segments of each. [More]
