This time out, our two vacuous but loveable teenagers are thrown off a cliff and sent to Hell, where they are tortured with a succession of stylishly realized nightmares. The duo need to escape the fires of Hades in enough time to make it to the "battle of the bands" their rock group has entered. In order to free themselves they engage the "Grim Reaper" in a gut-wrenching series of contests testing the limits of human discipline and intelligence. Victorious, they return to Earth to battle the pair of evil robotic doubles who originally killed them, and have since taken their places -- wreaking havoc with the dudes' personal lives. [More]

Reviews for Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
Doesn't eclipse the original, but the dorky charm is still there ... plus it's got William Sadler's immortal turn as Death.
One of the most worthwhile sequels of recent years, maybe funnier than the original as it intelligently expands the potential for the surreal and it ties up all the loose ends managing, quite remarkably, to give pointlessness a purpose.
Silly, sophomoric and very weird. Or, in Bill and Ted's vocabulary, it's lame, scorched and egregious.
Fans won't be disappointed and people who didn't like the previous film wouldn't like this one either.
So ridiculously dumb that it's difficult to be a good sport about it.
