  • A comedic luminary in the silent era of Hollywood filmmaking, Academy Award®-winner Buster Keaton is best remembered for his rolls in such legendary classics as The General (1927), The Navigator (1924), and Our Hospitality (1923).
  • BIOGRAPHY® narrates the comprehensive story of Keaton's fascinating - and
  • at times tragic - life, from his turn-of-the-century vaudeville upbringing to
  • his 1950s comeback. Keaton's star soared in the 1920s with a string of brilliant films, but he soon experienced harder times, including bouts with alcoholism and mental illness. Pushing past these obstacles, he returned to the spotlight in the mid-20th century with the re-release of his silent masterpieces. Although often overshadowed by his contemporary Charlie Chaplin, many consider Keaton - or "The Michelangelo of Silent Comedy" - to be the most talented entertainer of his time.
