This sequel to the first "Black Adder" series takes place 100 years later, in the Renaissance, and Edmund Blackadder (or rather his descendant of the same name) is no longer in line to the throne of England. He is, however, a favorite of Queen Elizabeth, who is rather fond of the dashing young lord. She does think of executing him periodically... just to see the look on his face.
