Undoubtedly an impressive achievement in set design and visuals, Blade Runner otherwise possesses few elements designed to effectively capture (and subsequently hold) the viewer's interest... [More]

i agree. I just didn't feel the movie and I thought it was drawn out way too much and boring

All great movies are long. (2001 a space odyssey comes to mind.) So dont base your review on that.

That's not exactly true Zergling. The Wizard of Oz wasn't that long, and it is regarded as one of the best movies of all time. This one version of War of the Worlds (not the old version, the Tom Cruise, or the Sci-Fi channel one) was three hours long, and that movie was absolutely terrible... it wouldn't have been all that bad if it hadn't been so long (but it seemed to go on forever).

Movie length can determine the quality of the actual movie sometimes.

i just didnt get what all the hype was about when i saw this. i watched this after i saw star wars so maybe i was expecting too much. i thought it was just a complete 80s movie that was weird and just like all the other movies of the time. i wish i liked it more...

I'll admit you have at least thought about your review and I respect that, however your ideas are completely wrong. It is no coincidence that this film became a classic, the cinematography is absolutely superb and the overall plot needn't be anymore than it is (although you seem to disagree). This film does have all the makings of a masterpiece, your review is simply offensive to it. I hope you don't really believe what you've said, otherwise you have no reason being a critic.

Bladerunner makes you ponder more than entertain. It has great characters and a very well written story.

It's not Star Wars. Keep that in mind.

I agree with this review. Blade Runner was visually stunning, plotwise, boring. I didn't care about anyone in this movie. Sean Young, Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, no one had any likeable, redeeming qualities. It was, and still is, fun to look at.

I was too little when this came on. Tryed to watch it on VCR when I was about 10, but couldn't find anything interesting in it.
Watched it again 20 years later. Still nothing. Though I'm a great fan of Sci-Fi, Harrison Ford and can stand a film noir, I could barely watch it.
I'm stating to feel stupid, when I see how many people are raving over this and I just don't get it.
Length has nothing to do with it, I wish all movies were 3 hours long.
