After centuries of raping Africa for its resources, now we exploit its misery for our amusement.
No shit, how else do we raise public awareness in America?

You should of used awareness instead of "amusement".... either way this is a ridiculous review!

the point of this movie was to reveal what actually goes on in Africa in order for us to obtain diamonds and other things as well. The only time I was ever "amused" was when Maddy Bowen asked the guys to pose for a picture!

did you watch the movie? Or did you watch a trailer, then write a bad review based on your own stereotypes? Idc if you watched the movie, because your review is ignorant regardless. Kind of makes me feel like i shouldn't take the word of rotten tomatoes anymore, because they actually take into account, pure bullshitty reviews.

Best critique I've heard yet.
To other replies; Blood Diamond is a high budget film starring Leonardo Dicaprio, complete with guns, attack helicopters, and a bad-character-turned-good-in-end plot. By all means, it is well done film - but that is all it is.
Amusement doesn't have to mean giggling in glee. Amusement in this case means allowing Americans to bullshit themselves again into thinking that by 'raising awareness', they are saving some poor black kid in Africa. That, somehow, by watching a Warner Bros Movie, they are supporting some cause. Americans get off to this shit all the time, and that is what amusement is.
