once again not a great week, but I am glad that they cast Renner, so I'm not as ticked about a Bourne movie "without" Damon, but only slightly.

I think a Bourne movie without Bourne is pretty pointless :/

Cool. We actually have more fresh stuff than rotten stuff, and the borderline rotten idea doesn't even seem that rotten. Prom needs to drink some lighter fluid and set its innards on fire, and did anyone ever ask for a sixth Fast?

Nothing really interesting to me.

If people check out the T-meter score for Fast Five (called Fast & Furious 5 outside the US) then they will surely be very surprised as its getting decent reviews and has a 76% score and while it may be early it has been out here in Australia for a few days and at first I thought i'd steer clear but might see it next week as there's not much else worth watching. And yes I have seen Thor (saw that on Friday) and it was pretty good and I think a sequel would be good but don't expect it to be groundbreaking coz it's not. It's good but not amazing.

Renner is a great actor, I respect the man, but a Bourne spin-off?

Is that really necessary?

Absolutely not.

Agreed. I was trying to be excited for the movie, but I really wish they weren't making it at all. Three great movies is enoug; they ended it well, I don't see why they feel the need to make another. Well, if it's awesome, I'll count it with the series; if it stinks, I won't.

At least they're not announcing a Toy Story 4; THEN I would be ticked off.

As I understand it, Robert Ludlum (writer of the Bourne novels, RIP) has many other spy-y thriller-type novels that could easily have the novel's protagonist replaced with the Jason Bourne character, or a similar Bourne-like character. There definitely seems to be enough material for more stories, from the original source, for keeping with the spirit of the franchise. And methinks Jeremy is just keeping the seat warm for a Damon/Greengrass Triumphant Return to the franchise, later down the road. The only thing better than 3 good movies, is 4 good movies. I say Go for it!

After reading #2, PROM looks like next weekend's wild card. Good news this week. Looking forward to the new Bourne but Matt Damon will always be the best. Don't screw this up, Jeremy Renner.

"Hawkeye joins several other planned Marvel movies which include Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Doctor Strange."

That may be the most hilariously ridiculous thing ever written on rotten tomatoes. do i really need to explain why i think the idea of a 'thor 2' is hilarious?? i mean, thor ONE looks like a huge steaming bowl of shit (and come on, more than likely a real under performer) already, iron man 3 is kicking a dead horse. captain captain america 2? another sequel to a flick that's not even out yet?? jesus. 'doctor strange'! 'ant-man'!! i can't make this stuff up, my sides are gonna split. i guess these hollywood morons really think that if it was once a comic book, no matter how unknown and ridiculous they are/sound, its box office gold! seriously though, ant-man? hysterical. i can't imagine one person in the world who would be stoked to see a movie called ####ing ant man.
