Brian Cox Gives Voice to Aslan the Lion

Brian Cox has been tapped to perform as the voice of Aslan the Lion in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," according to the film's newsletter. Cox, who has recently appeared in "The Bourne Supremacy" and "X2: X-Men United," was chosen for his majestic voice, according to producer Mark Johnson. The film, which is currently being shot in New Zealand, is directed by Andrew Adamson ("Shrek," "Shrek 2"Wink and features the voices of Tilda Swinton and Ruppert Everett, among others. The film is scheduled for a 2005 release.

This guy is awesome. My favorite role of his is in Super Troopers, which is a great film (well, I guess you couldn't really call it a film). Anyhow, I'm going to picture him saying he will "pistol whip the next guy to say Shenanigans" when he does this movie. I can't wait....
