Brian Cox has been tapped to perform as the voice of Aslan the Lion in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," according to the film's newsletter. Cox, who has recently appeared in "The Bourne Supremacy" and "X2: X-Men United," was chosen for his majestic voice, according to producer Mark Johnson. The film, which is currently being shot in New Zealand, is directed by Andrew Adamson ("Shrek," "Shrek 2" and features the voices of Tilda Swinton and Ruppert Everett, among others. The film is scheduled for a 2005 release.
