Why do the all the Nazis here have British accents? How confusing is that? An unintentionally-comical cross of Hogan's Heroes and Springtime for Hitler!

The description on the back of the box says it best: From "the studio that brought you the Academy Award-winning Life Is Beautiful" comes another Holocaust movie that you're sure to love! Only this time there's no happy ending, or Academy Awards.

In no way a fashion statement about sleepwear, but rather a solemnly imaginative political statement about the Germans asleep when it came to exactly what was going down during the Nazi regime. The Final Solution meets The Pied Piper.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is such an accessible and understated film that I can readily picture it being used in schools at whatever age they're teaching children about the holocaust.
