Critic Review - Variety

Adding a female director to its creative boys' club, the studio has fashioned a resonant tribute to mother-daughter relationships that packs a level of poignancy on par with such beloved male-bonding classics as Finding Nemo.

If only she wasn't fired before production finished. Kinda ruins this a bit.

"I think it's a really sad state. We're in the 21st century and there are so few stories geared towards girls, told from a female point of view," said Chapman, who spent six years on "Brave" â?? which was inspired by her relationship with her daughter â?? before being fired because of what she calls "creative differences."

This is actually a decent chick flik. Unless you consider 16 and pregnant and Sex and the City appropriate...Girls have spoken and said what they like and Hollywood answered with another season of Teen Wolf!

Now go and promote your site elsewhere.

Maybe I need to more clear. My point had to do with Pete's comment about Pixar adding a female to their ranks. She is no longer part of those ranks, and the quote was a decimation of the state of the industry.

PS - Promote my site? You really think I own the LA Times? It's what we call a link credit good sir.

I don't mean to take away from the finished project too much. It just seemed pertinent for this particular angle. ^_^;

One does not simply read comments on a top critics review without any aggressive and ridiculous discussion.

Seriously, what is up with our community?! We cant even check out a review without some of the members arguing about overly ridiculous stuff and critic bashing.
