Asinine. To say this movie ended Lean's career as a director, when Lawrence Of Arabia was still to follow, is idiocy.

Yes, clearly asinine. A look at this guy's many other negative reviews of time-honored classics makes his opinions highly suspect. However, he is entitled to them, no matter how misguided they may be. But, no "professional" reviewer should be allowed to gloss over simple facts to fit their review, and the fact is that Lean followed up Kwai with Lawrence of Arabia & Zhivago, so he was hardly finished now, was he Mr. Kehr?
