Fans of posh schoolgirls in fishnet stockings and "do you reckon she's legal?" debates rejoice; St. Trinian's is getting a sequel!

Ealing studios announced the news in Cannes yesterday, with the plot to St. Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold seeing the scantily clad lassies on the hunt for buried treasure after discovering headmistress Miss Fritton (played in drag by Rupert Everett in the original) is related to pirates.

The sequel will re-team "most" of the original cast, which included Colin Firth, Russell Brand and Bond girl Gemma Arterton, while helmer Oliver Parker will also return to the directors chair.
