Cannes 2008: Spike Lee's Next Project

...a documentary about Michael Jordan.

Spike Lee will shoot a feature-length documentary about legendary basketball star Michael Jordan, he announced at Cannes today.

Whilst flogging his latest effort, the $40m war effort Miracle at St. Anna, the iconic director told the crowd that he hopes to bring the NBA-financed doc to the festival this time next year.

Apparently the film will include unseen footage of the final years of the great man's basketball career, although at present we are unsure if Jordan's participation in Space Jam will be featured.

Director Lee, who previously collaborated with Jordan on a series of commercials for sportswear behemoth Nike, said:"Mike wants to come to Cannes, so hopefully we will be here next year".

I hope Spike Lee takes this opportunity to show the audience at Cannes that MJ took his chance and did his dance at the Space Jam. With Bugs Bunny.
