Critic Review - Detroit News

With its mix of World War II nostalgia, Bam-Pow comic book sensibilities, underdog determination and red-white-and-blue battle scenes, Captain America: The First Avenger is the best Marvel superhero flick since the first Iron Man.

For someone who thinks the first Iron Man was a good film, I have to say that your standards are low.

Your all utterly clueless, the first Iron man was more enganging with a nilihistic, narcissism ride of cokniess and explosions. The Downey out-played his role (sort of comeback for him) and Bridges and Paltrow displayed their roles as needed.

It was an entertaining combic flick, one of three superheros movies that have been ACTUALLY well concieved and executed so far.

If Long says Capt. America was also well done, and as fresh/nostolgic 'air' tha made Iron Man worth watching, than I will have to set aside $10 bucks to go see it at Partridge Creek.
