No chance in hell stingy man Lucas would let this happen... Period..

Lets see how Cap goes then we'll see. Johnston's resume' hasn't exactly been stellar up to this point.

I don't think this is a very good idea. Boba Fett was interesting because he was so mysterious. When Lucas tried to give him a storyline in the prequels, it only harmed the character.

It would be exciting to see some Star Wars "spin-off" films . . .
but now that Joe Johnston has gone public in asking George Lucas a favor so to speak I'd expect Lucas to say "no." Or He'll say no to Joe Johnston and "yes" to another director.
and, recently George Lucas has said he wanted to stay away from motion-pictures because they were too risky and too expensive to produce.
Going to The Press is more likely to make Lucas say "no" because its like Johnston is putting public pressure on Lucas.

That's because George Lucas' Star Wars is ANTI-CHRISTIAN and in fact George himself worships SATAN. What other excuse could there be for the existence of Jar-Jar Binks who is obviously both a Minstrel show and a FOLLOWER OF THE DEVIL. (Just Kidding) Or not... or yes... or not...
Read THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN to understand the symbolism of giving DOGS a HUMAN SOUL which of course goes against GOD'S PLAN. Jar Jar is just an anthropomorphic PLATYPUS paying homage to Hollywood's RACIST PAST.
I think I finally "get" you Gordo. This crazy shit is fun.

That. Was. Amazing.

The official Post of the Day. The dj even got the caps spot-on.

As Gordon said, Lucas wont do it. Maybe as an episode or two in that live action series he has planned, but not as a movie and surely not with Johnston at the helm.
Jul 18 - 01:40 PM
I don't see a story here. Frankly, the mystery of Boba Fett was ruined in the prequels. Now, if you say Fett shot his way out of that desert slug thing in Jedi, I might be interested.
Jul 18 - 03:43 PM
According to official Star Wars canon, he did shoot his way out or was rescued somehow I forget. While there's potential for greatness, there is zero percent chance that A) this movie gets made AND B) it is good.
Jul 19 - 08:12 AM
Joe Johnston already did a movie about Boba Fett, twenty years ago. It was called "the Rocketeer".
Jul 18 - 05:26 PM
I'm excited about this. Fett is a massively overrated character, but a good concept, and this could make him legitimately cool for once.
Jul 18 - 05:55 PM
Boba Fett, hmm maybe it could work.
