. . . but will it be good?
CARRIE was due on MARCH 19 of this year and was moved to OCTOBER . . . . in the initial trailer there weren't any scenes of Carrie's mom thumping her head against the closet door with Carrie locked inside.
THEN, THE CONJURING came out with the mom thumping her heard against the wardrobe door and then Carrie's trailer had the same-exact effect of the mom thumping her head against a door.
It feels like the makers of CARRIE saw THE CONJURING while doing re-shoots to make CARRIE scarier.
here: March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October . . .
a film is not going to sit on a shelf for eight months without additional post-production tampering taking place.
I'll bet you CARRIE was a dud back in March and the filmmakers did re-shoots trying to make it better.

I have to agree with you here.

The source material isn't that heavy or gory to begin with, I wonder what can they do to make it R?
And I still say remaking it was stupid, but it's Hollywood.
