Unlike most Pixar fare, this isn't a movie you can imagine many adults wanting to see without their children in tow.

You should pay more attention to who's in the theater then. At my viewing, I'd estimate a full 1/3rd of the audience were couples only without kids.

This is where Rotten Tomatoes fails. An average film should not be considered a failure and when looking at the rotten agregate (38% as of today), it makes it look like a bad film. There are tons of bad films and this is not one of them. Critics have no ability to take a sequel as a separate entity. They invariably compare it to the previous film. Additionally, critics are not able to compare animated films to other animated films - specifically other pixar entries. Instead of comparing it to other animated films, take it at its own accord and leave your biases at the door.

Come on - dude, it's a kids movie DUH i mean come on don't rate it at your view. The kids are the ones who know if it's good for THEM. why go and say it's a bad movie. how dare you. unless you've asked some kids, you don't know! I'd give you a rotten tomato if I could
