Smoke and blurry visual effects are used more to obscure the dingy production design rather than enhance the movie with relatively low-rent costuming and make-up effects.

Although it's not a good film, it does have some good aspects. Frank Whaley gives a good performance, and some of the visuals are imaginative and clever. The plot is a bit convoluted though and the pacing is uneven.

i don't get it at all, this has nothing at all to do with the original movie. i think the should have called this "the pschic" or something along those lines and just not associated itself with that movie and it probably would have made a lot more sense. although it still would have been a bad movie. the only good thing was frank whaley and the minute hes in the movie you know hes the killer
