Chasing Liberty chases laughs and charm for most of its 100 minutes. It loses both races, but it has its moments, an engaging cast and a lot of scenery of the great cities of Europe.

Chasing Liberty is surprisingly good in areas where it doesn't need to be good at all, and pretty awful in areas where it has to succeed.

'Chasing Liberty' features fetching leads, a vibrant soundtrack and beautiful locales -- but otherwise it's pretty forced and repetitive.

Even though Cadiff and crew didn't make a memorable or remarkable film, at least they chased a heck of a vacation out of the deal.

Chases romance and comedy across Europe for nearly two hours without ever quite catching either.

Its target audience will probably find it pleasurable. It will certainly tide them over until the next film is released starring Mandy Moore and/or Hilary Duff, whichever.

Mandy Moore continues to be the most painless of former pop princesses, even if she's perpetually posing for one of her Noxema commercials.
