Childstar concerns an egotistical 12-year-old named Taylor who has skyrocketed to fame at that young age. His relationship with his driver, Rick, takes a turn when Taylor confides in him about the problems of celebrity and the fears of his impending teenage years. ...a glossy, fast-paced piece of work...
A pointless film about pointless people.
McKellar's starring turn -- along with a strong final scene -- help him save his own film from the unfortunate crap heap
A Canadian version of Dutch.
The acting isn't always spot on, but the movie takes on a risky plot and succeeds for the most part.

Though it has its humorous moments, this film has more of a dramatic edge to it as the titular character struggles with his fame and trying to be a child.
