If you've been waiting impatiently for a look at the sequel to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, good news: Walden Media has released the first shots from this summer's Prince Caspian, and they're just a click of the mouse away!

2005's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe had a lot of things going for it -- including a $290 million-plus theatrical gross and the kind of critical affection that earns you a 76 percent Tomatometer rating -- successes Walden is hoping to build on with the sequel, debuting May 16. i like the books fine, it's just that when i see those kids fighting things that should be able to kill them i laugh when then kids win because it's so impossible.

Well, he has a lot of hair. That should help sell some tickets. I won't be surprised if they try to take the "new teenage heartthrob" approach in the coming months.

It looks good so far. The first one I thought was very well done.

I don't care so much on the whether or not the studio goes this way or that way in marketing the young cast as "heartthrobs" I will wait for this one to come out on DVD like I did the first one.

As much as I hate Walden Media and their right wing propaganda, I thought the first film was good but it is the same feeling I get when I eat Chik-fil-et - its tastes great, but I know I just contributed to the monster ruining this country.

I read all the books when i was a kid so will wind up seeing this, most likely on cable.

zbgerg ... as opposed to the left wing propaganda coming from 99% of the rest of the available media being beneficial? I'm glad to see another of the very few movies come out that treat kids with respect.

As for Chik-fil-et, I bet the employees don't mind having Sunday's off. Those bastards!

Oh...there is propaganda from everywhere. This 'propaganda' actually comes from the books themselves. Most of Lewis' books were nonfiction christian books. Narnia, to my memory, were his only christian fiction books.

Left and right both annoy me anymore. I threw up today thinking about the election.

What really gets me is the moderate propaganda you seem to be espousing that is tearing our country apart. Moderates are already planting their thoughtful ideas into our childrens' heads through their thinly-disguised movies, books, and video games, and their cautious open-mindedness threatens to spread out into all of our institutions until we are a nation of non-ideologues who judge people and situations on their own merits using facts and logic in conjunction with our values and instincts. The first film was a major improvement over the book in terms of detail and story. I loved the book as a kid and the movie was amazing and I can tell the next one is going to be amazing as well and it looks better than I could've imagined when I read that book.

Lewis wrote an adult science fiction trilogy, which was similar to narnia with it's Christian themes. His other fiction was mostly modern retellings of classic mythology

Why can't people just watch a movie and recognize that it was good, regardless of the political position it takes or of the author. But whatever i refuse watch anything by Michael Moore so i guess that makes me a hypocrite. So bite me.

I loved the first "Narnia" movie. The trailer looks excellent. I read the whole "Narnia" series back when I was in sixth grade. I love the fact that even though the Penvasie siblings are still children, they are fighting evil and triumphing. The themes of family and loyalty are lacking in a lot of today's movies. This is what drew me to the "Narnia" series back then and that is why I loved the first movie so much. I am looking forward to seeing "Prince Caspian".

Regardless of the Christian bent on the Narnia series, the books taken as they are (mythological whimsy and fantasy) are great, and just long/detailed enough to make for perfect adaptation to the big screen. The first film was an excellent adaptation and an entertaining film overall. I'm looking forward to Prince Caspian... Although he looks far more adult and studly than the kid I thought he was in the book... It's been awhile since I read the book, but I always had the impression that he was just a kid, in his early teens, and severely lacking confidence. This dude looks like the polar opposite.
And what's wrong with Chick-Fil-A, anyhow? My kids like the books and educational stuff they get in the kids' meals just as much as the cheesy plastic movie-tie-ins they get at McDonald's and BK...
