The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is still very much a "Narnia" movie. In other words, it's filled with fantastical creatures, bloodless battles, quasi-mystical undercurrents and an unfortunate helping of hooey.

Not to mention the pretentious life-lessons these films try and shoulder onto kids as some kind of counterbalance to bad parenting or something. There are three short scenes one after the other heading into the battle of Green Mist island of encouraging, uplifting schlock; first, Lucy tells smaller child to be herself after putting aside her desire to be her sister; then Caspian tells Edmund he's his brother and gives him Peter's sword, then Reepicheep talks to Eustice about bravery and size and all that.
