Corteo is classic Cirque du Soleil, a multilingual paegant of music, dance, acrobatics, gymnastics, and clowning...the ingenious production design run with highly refined coordination.

Audience Reviews for Cirque Du Soleil - Corteo

honestly I expect much more from Cirque du Soleil than this sadly lacking effort. Cirque is known for incredible cinematography, amazing stunts that no one else would even think of, incredibly beautiful art, superb costumes, and mindblowing sets. I don't think that this show lived up to Cirque's reputation in any of those categories. Even the music was quite weak.

Having bashed this one, I would like to put in a good word for the jugglers and the guy on the ladder. Those 2 acts were very good.

I saw this one after seeing Worlds Away, and I have to say that in comparison to that film I was disappointed. That's not to say there isn't a lot of talent here, but the newer film is just simply more fun to watch. My biggest problem with this one is the horribly dim lighting that made me feel like I was squinting the entire time. But beyond that, this one just isn't quite as captivating as Worlds Away. There are a couple of acts that are a great deal of fun to watch, but for the most part I was underwhelmed.

Corteo tells the tale of a clown who has died. Corteo depicts the clown?s dreams, nightmares, and his psychological state after his death. This is an Italian tale of intrigue, fascination, and mystique. It attracted the likes of Cirque Du Soleil to take on this project. This is not your average story and utilizes unique props and acrobatics.

Seeing as many Cirque Du Soleil shows as possible is an ambition of me and my wife?s. We have seen three so far. My review of Varekai can be found on this site as well. I will review La Noumba (Orlando) in the near future. Please find the review for Varekai below:

The use of the beds, chandeliers, angel?s wings, and hoops were amazing. This was another in a long line of stunning Cirque Du Soleil shows. Corteo contains the best storyline of all the Cirque Du Soleil shows I have seen to date; however, the action in Varekai is my favorite so far. La Noumba has a nice combination of both elements.
