Collector's set of the critically acclaimed Ken Burns' documentary miniseries and the highest rated PBS show in history. The Civil War is examined in exquisite detail as has never been done before using the words of citizens and slaves of the time.
Unrated, 13 hr. 30 min.

My favorite PBS documentery miniseries.
How can an 11-hour history lesson be so compelling? Phenomenal photos, haunting music that brings life to the old tintypes, and Burns' sense of humanity and irony.
The only thing wrong with this 11-hour cinematic mammoth is that it's not longer.
Almost overwhelming in its sheer eleven hour girth, it's worth every minute.
The Civil War is really an astounding documentary feat and the DVD set that PBS has put out is fortunately quite worthy.
May be the greatest documentary ever made. Granted you must like history, but if you do, this is 11 hours of transcendental ecstasy.
