Great review! I was not expecting much from the movie after seeing the first installment. It's unfortunate because it could have so much potential to be a good story but if its like the first one the plot just falls apart. It's a shame I love Greek mythology. I won't be wasting money on this one.

maybe they just need to make a God Of War movie and then they'll have a good Greek Mythology film and perhaps the first "good" film that is based off of a video game... if they can just get the right people to work on it.

I've been having similar thoughts about a GOW film. I've pondered who would be a good cast for it, but I feel like with the shear size of that world, the monsters, the effects and the distinctive look of Kratos, maybe they should consider going all CGI and keep the original voice actors. Thoughts?

Jason Statham would be great as Kratos if they made a live-action one haha

Lol maybe if Statham grew a foot and a half, gained about 50-75 lbs of muscle, and got rid of that stupid voice he has in every one of his movies.

Good idea, I think it would be a good idea to find the right guy for Kratos, a buff 6'6" badass. But Id want him voiced by the guy who was the voice in the games. Nobody could possibly sound like Kratos like that guy does.

Michael Jai White, painted up all white and red? I think the sound of his voice might not be too far off from the game's voice actor.

I was thinking Michael Jai White would be a good Kratos too. He's got the build, the moves and the voice to be able to pull it off.

Man I'd love to see a God of War movie.

Everyone that I spoke to loved this version.Told the story better then the 1st & didn`t have that lame Hamlin in it.The only thing that saved the original was the fine work by Ray Harryhausen.

Shut up, teen romance is more interesting than Sam Worthington waving his sword around for an hour and a half

This movie was amazing. Wrath of the Titans was so good, you have no choice but to hate on it.
There was so much action, you don't know where to start and pick it apart with all your hater-ism.
Trust me, if and when they do God of War, you still won't appreciate it because we've been through many battle of the Gods movies and their just going to waist time in the movie explaining the story, when God of War already has crazy fans who know everything about the story and just want to see some butt kicking action.
Yet they are going to do the opposite for God of War part 1 to keep you hanging on for a part 2. Example, they show an awesome scene in the beginning, then story, story, awesome quick scene, story, story, shorter quick awesome scene, story, story, story, then final battle which will last about 10 minutes.
It probably won't make enough money simply because some nutty Disney animated movie might come out at the same time and Destroy it's attention.
Oh--or even better, they might make a "Bully 2 The revenge of the Bullies" movie. That would kill it.
So appreciate Wrath of the Titans for what it was. Action packed, decent acting, kept my attention and worth every penny.

Totally and completely cool - but also, absolutely wrong. See it again without extreme prejudice. Ok so the director's history is a not good. But this movie is a very good contemporary reading of the original... it's so easy for critics to just slam things. The acting was fine - UK heavyweights and especially Bill Nighy did not flinch in their greenscreen environments and the effects were completely above the line - 1st class in fact. Think first and stop playing to the gallery of dorks who laugh at your review and think they've seen the film...
