After sharing cocaine with a girl he meets in a bar, he wakes up the next day in her bed to find she's dead from an overdose. Trouble also looms at work since he owes $92,000 that he embezzled from the company and lost in a risky investment. Meanwhile, his cocaine problem is becoming progressively worse. To avoid the mounting pressure placed on him at work and the unresolved issues surrounding the girl's death, he checks himself into a drug treatment facility, mainly because it promises complete confidentiality. There, he thinks, he can avoid the neverending inquiries; what he finds at the clinic, though, is a tough counselor who does not take recovery lightly, and who forces him to reassess his motivations for becoming a patient.
