A not particularly enlightening look at office life. It was of course trumped eventually by the masterful Office Space. The film ultimately raises the question - so what?

The Sprecher sisters wrote this screenplay based in part on their experiences at temps and the movie is alive with observational office humor.

This is an empowering movie for shy, timid women. In the end, Iris no longer tiptoed through life, she made her mark. Lisa Kudrow did a fine job, but I still saw a little bit of 'Phoebe' in there, or maybe that's just her? One of the messages of the film is that looks can be deceiving, so don't judge a book by its cover.

An office story with both drama and comedy, this movie had such a unique feel to it and I loved every minute of it! I especially liked Parker Posey's performance.

Watched this movie a lot as a teenager. I love it's dark humor and the different characters.

toni collette really is a chameleon..a true sign of a talented actor. this movie is depressing..because i'm guessing an office job would be more like this rather than the tv show 'the office' which makes office jobs look like a party!

This was the best movie that I have ever seen I can relate to every thing in it and I would watch it again and again

If you have ever been a Temp worker before then this movie is for you. This movie really captures the horrible aspects of being a Temp. There are some funny parts in this movie but also some very serious ones. It deals with work relationships very realistically.

Life as a temp is rough, but then friends in the workplace are dogs. Butthis movie made me want to become a clockwatcher or become permanently employed...
