After a frenetic start to the movie, in which Bill flees his own wedding to deal with a hostage situation, events take a further turn for the worse when the now-married officer and his family pull up to a gas station on their way to a camping trip. A robbery is underway, and Bill can't help but get involved, leading to a disastrous series of events that leaves the beleaguered cop's life in tatters.
