A group of blackmailed guests gather in a remote mansion, hosted by a daffy butler (Tim Curry), in this campy adaptation of the popular board game. Suspicions flare when their ostensible extortionist, Mr. Boddy, appears--and drops dead in the study. Hidden passageways, double entendres, and creative murder weapons come into play as bodies drop, disappear, and reappear on one dark and stormy night. An all-star cast assume the roles of Professor Plum (Christopher Lloyd), Mrs. White (Madeline Kahn), Miss Scarlet (Lesley Ann Warren), and the rest of the multicolored bunch as the one-liners fly in this jaunty whodunit. It all concludes with three alternate endings that let viewers decide who the real murderer was. [More]

As a game and as a movie, Clue is fun.

The greatest thing about this movie is the way it brings the game’s little details to life.

Only Lesley Ann Warren, as a tough-talking madam, finds an effective level of stylization, using her leggy physique and wildly expressive features to create a cartoonish figure that's funny within its own boundaries.

Like a well-oiled machine, "Clue" uses slapstick and situational humor to tell a rather pointed story.

Deserves its own little niche in camp cinema history.

Frenetic, silly, but not as bad as is often claimed.

the endings are almost intended to be seen sequentially, and they are the funniest when viewed in that manner

Honestly, it was much, much funnier than it had any right to be.

Like a stage farce brought (laboriously) to the screen. An inexhaustible ensemble helps a whole lot.
