With this short-lived Comedy Central series, Smigel let loose his wild imagination for a half hour of inspired madness. TV FUNHOUSE is a children's show from another dimension, hosted by Doug and his Anipals (a mix of trash-talking puppets and confused live animals), with each themed episode lodging an irreverent mix of live-action and animated segments. The cast of characters includes Mischievous Mitchell, a Dennis the Menace lookalike who gets in all sorts of racist hijinks, and Wonderman, a superhero whose true mission is to get his alter-ego laid. Appearances by Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Robert Goulet add plenty of weird moments to this truly twisted variety show. [More]
