Comic-Con 2006: (Very) Early Look at "Iron Man" (and Some "Avengers" Rumblings!)
by Scott Weinberg | July 25, 2006
Discuss Article
So far we know the director (Jon Favreau) and the villain (Mandarin), but in this early stage of the game, there's not much else to tell about "Iron Man." Oh, except there's a pretty cool new teaser poster, so that's something.

In related news, IGNFF has put together some pretty interesting pieces and are now working under the logical assumption that an "Avengers" movie could happen in the future. Marvel's already working on a bunch of superhero movies, most of which center around characters (Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Nick Fury, Thor) who have been members of The Avengers at one point in their fictional careers.

"Now that it's all under one roof, it could be done," said (Marvel Exec Kevin) Feige. (Click here for more.)

That's dumb, it's just art from the comics. But it's something at least, and gives us a date.

How can you ascertain that this movie is going to blow based off a teaser poster that is basically a concept drawing?

Even if this movie is destined to suck, it'll still be better than Ghost Rider. Have you seen that trailer? Pathetic. I still have a little hope for this movie though, but I was actually expecting something from the film, not concept art
