Some talk shows give equal time to actors and musicians and comedians, but in "Comics Only" the spotlight shines only on those who make us laugh. Hosted by Paul Provenza of television's "Northern Exposure," this program features three funnypeople: Jeff Foxworthy, Pam Matteson and Randy Kagan. In his segment, Foxworthy makes fun of redneck Southern stereotypes. He explores childhood, parenthood, sex, married life, cross-country trips, and underwear with equal abandon. Matteson starts with impressions of famous women laughing and moves on to routines about her doting mother and jabs at men who must always show their strength -- even when lifting books! Kagan wraps up the show with environmentally-themed satire and other neo-hippie comedy. [More]
