There's nothing here to catch our eye, or our interest - just AfterSchool Special plot twists and family battles-and-bonding, spiced up with secrets and revelations that aren't nearly as unexpected, or revealing, as the filmmakers might hope.
Director and co-screenwriter Lisa Albright uses Peters to lend some needed verve to a pretty standard, down-market milieu.
