Bobby Sommerdinger (William H. Macy) is a shy and nerdy auto mechanic who doesn't know that he is about to inherit two million dollars. Barbara doesn't waste any time; she moves to Bobby's hometown and gets a job teaching elementary school while making hysterical attempts to get to know the reclusive middle-aged bachelor. Although he is hesistant at first, he eventually succumbs to Barbara's feminine wiles and they end up at the altar.
