what? Is this a bad thing? I find it funny that when a critic delivers a bad review they write it in a way that no one understands what the fuck they are trying to say.

Then apparently you're just as confused as the movie.

Bruno, a word of advice. When you're too stupid to understand something, don't draw attention to yourself. That makes you even more stupid.

While I agree that Bruno should recognize that this is a BAD review, the review is also BAD. On the other hand, I don't disagree with the review. I just think it is written in a way that could have been simplified for the less intelligent audience (me on a bad day). In my opinion, the movie did lack clarity. Don't even get me started about the reason the aliens didn't use their own bracelets to blow up the cowboys and Indians or why it wouldn't make more sense that the aliens needed hair from earthlings. They were bald, after all, and a little hair might have distracted from those bloody eyes and bad teeth.

But the aliens did use their bracelets. In probably the goriest shot in the movie, a guy gets vaporized off a horse.

He's saying that Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig succeed in making a terrible script at least mediocre.

What narrative? There is plenty of clarity, i.e., cowboys against the aliens.

Adam D> no, that's not what the critic is saying at all. A successful war against something GOOD, such as clarity, freedom, or happiness, is BAD. Also, the two men Orr is referring to are the writers of the movie, not the actors.

Hyperbolic, indulgent reviews like this prevent me from taking critics, as a profession, seriously.

Cowboys and Aliens is a perfect example of how the movie industry has been perverted to the point of killing a great story for a few "Ooo"s and "Ahhh"s.

Why is anybody taking this movie seriously? The title says it all. If someone walked into the theater thinking it would be much more than six shooters and ray guns, they deserve at least a smack on the forehead.

What the heck does anyone expect? It was a silly romp, played marvelously straight by the actors, and they delivered an entertaining night out at the movies.

People really get paid to be critics...?
Good gig if you can get it

I have no idea what you're trying to say! You're just one of those critics who like being cryptic so as to "confuse the masses" or something like that.

This movie sucked. Plain and simple. That's the reason it underperformed at the box office. It's like they thought up what seemed like a great premise, Cowboys and Aliens, then ran out of steam. There's not a single original thing to be seen here. From Daniel Craig's name and seemingly tailored outfit to Olivia Wilde wearing a sidearm to just about every Western cliche they could throw at the screen. The whole story comes off as something thrown together in a couple of hours. And Favreau is either an overrated director or was simply asleep at the wheel. Simpleminded crap that brought to mind all those Mummy movies and also Van Helsing. Maybe Favreau was channeling Stephen Sommers. Or he sucks.

What the Hell are you smoking it wasn't cliched. Westerns don't involve aliens. And it wasn'tlike any other alien invasion movie I've ever seen.
