After prim principal Charlotte Bain's relationship with the high school coach sours, she accepts a date with her school's kind-but-poor Mexican-American custodian, Ernesto. Charlotte and Ernesto laugh over drinks at a local bar and develop an attraction to one another. Hungover from too many tequila shots, Charlotte wakes the next day to discover she not only had a torrid affair with Ernesto, but she even married him! Soon the bigoted school board members learn of this tryst and demand that she leave the low-class Latino -- or vacate her post at once. But Charlotte realizes that she has warm feelings for the Ernesto, so she sets out to show the board exactly what's what. [More]
