LAW) star as a married couple, Beth and Tim Williamson, whose tempestuous marriage has long been complicated by Tim's violent outbursts. When Beth finally decides to leave, she moves into a shelter for battered women and befriends a young woman named Kaye (Robin Givens), who has been hiding out from her own abusive partner. Together, the two attempt to heal their shattered bodies and lives only to have their traumatic pasts catch up with them in a shocking moment of violence.
