An in-your-face Trainspotting-like odyssey that's almost too much to take in, even as it has a few emotional high points.
go[es] through all the clichéd tropes of addiction, recovery and terminal illness while at the same time repeatedly subverting them.
This movie starts out in the fast lane with so many laughs and comedy tropes, that by the time it's slowed down a bit, you've discovered that you've been drawn into quite a touching tale. Nicely done!
