Serena (Eva LaRue Callahan) is an Italian noblewoman dispossessed of her title and wealth by the chaos of World War II. Soon after the war, however, she meets an American serviceman, Brad Fullerton. They marry and return to the United States together, and Serena's life seems perfect with her new husband and family, until the military calls Brad again, and he is killed in action during the Korean War. Out of desperation, Serena turns to modeling to support herself and her young daughter, but discovers the world surrounding the business both a moral and physical threat to her well-being. With the upheavals of history as a backdrop, REMEMBRANCE utilizes the popular emotional Danielle Steel formula. ONCE IN A LIFETIME: All the romance and melodrama associated with the name of Danielle Steel are present in this adaptation of her novel ONCE IN A LIFETIME. Lindsay Wagner plays Daphne Fields, who lies in a hospital bed recalling the moments of her life that led her there. Her beloved husband and daughter are tragically killed in a house fire, leaving the pregnant Daphne alone. After the birth of her son, she manages to support the two of them by becoming a successful novelist. But despite her success and the love of her son, Daphne still feels unfulfilled: she longs for romance. And, amazingly enough, her recuperation from a car accident may provide that final piece in the puzzle of her life THE RING: An adaptation of a novel by Danielle Steel, THE RING features her trademark combination of epic melodrama and romance set against the backdrop of terrible historic events. In the days of Hitler's Germany, a young woman named Ariana von Gotthard (Nastassja Kinski) finds herself in grave danger after the suicide of her mother and the disappearance of her father and brother. Luckily, she meets a young officer who falls in love with her, and the two are married. But during the chaos of the last days of the war, he is killed, leaving Ariana alone once more. With only her mother's ring to remind her of her family, she immigrates to the United States in the hopes of locating her father and brother, only to find a new love and the possibility, finally, of happiness. A PERFECT STRANGER: Best-selling novelist Danielle Steel, known for her tales of romantic fulfillment and tear-jerking drama, wrote the story adapted in A PERFECT STRANGER. Raphaella Phillips (Stacy Haiduk) is a young woman married to an aging millionaire, John Henry Phillips (Darren McGavin); despite the difference in their ages, they are very much in love. But when John has a stroke, Raphaella must care for him as he slowly dies. On a cross-country flight, she meets Alex Hale (Robert Urich), a divorcé with whom she begins a loving relationship. But her guilt over cheating on her sick husband, as well as her fear over what his reaction might be, leads her to break off the relationship with Alex. Alex, however, refuses to let her go easily. Will Raphaella allow herself to be wooed by A PERFECT STRANGER? [More]
