Affleck Returns to His Filmmaking Roots
After surviving a fairly tumultuous slump (which included "Daredevil," "Gigli," JLo, "Paycheck," "Jersey Girl" & "Surviving Christmas"
, actor / screenwriter Ben Affleck aims to take his first turn in the director's chair. Mr. Affleck will be directing an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's "Gone, Baby, Gone," which is a drama about "a pair of private detectives in a working-class Boston neighborhood who are hired to search for a kidnapped 4-year-old girl." Lehane's last novel, "Mystic River," got turned into a rock-solid flick, so let's keep our fingers crossed for first-time director Ben Affleck...and no, Ben will not be appearing in his directorial debut.

And i don't understand the logic behind making a movie of a book that is fourth in a series of five , when nobody has made the previous three into movies. Either way, the best of luck to Affleck and if he ***** it up, im going to be pretty pissed. --Noir (Reply to this) |
