The story revolves around the wealthy Collins family and their dark secret - that the melancholy Barnabas Collins is a 200-year-old vampire. When Barnabas is accidentally released from his chained-up coffin, he unleashes a world of mystery and intrigue around the family manor and the town of Collinsport.
