You don't have any idea what you're talking about. This film is loaded with criticism of post-9/11 consumer culture! Especially in the wake of marketing campaigns commodifying patriotism after Bush famously endorsed shopping as the appropriate civilian counterpart to military action against terrorism. Critics should figure out what the hell they're talking about before writing-off movies as inconsequentially devoid of social commentary. Read a fucking book.
