Johnny Rainbow writes: on Aug 09 2007 07:04 PM Top Story: Hollywood scrapes bottom of barrel, breaks through. I was a little excited when I first read the headline, but then I saw that it's being directed by the man responsible for Alien Vs. Predator and has a role for Tyrese Gibson just to make sure there'll be more than a nominal similarity to "2 Fast 2 Furious." Normally I don't complain about remakes, but the original, strangely enough, actually has a lot of sentimental value to me. (Reply to this) |

Prosper761 writes: on Aug 10 2007 08:04 AM In reply to this comment (#1026641) The answer: Money. There are no real artists in Hollywood, anymore. Just shameful whores who'll make any piece of crap if the money is right. Just at some of the big names Uwe Boll gets for his craptacular movies. (Reply to this) |

High School With Money writes: on Aug 10 2007 10:48 AM If Joan Allen was one of the drivers, this could've actually been buzz worthy. As is, it sounds like Anderson's roundabout way of making a Twisted Metal film. (Reply to this) |

Callpacas writes: on Aug 10 2007 11:34 AM I watched Deathrace 2000 last month...and hell, what's all the fanfare about? "Its so bad it good.??' Any remake could only be better. take it frame by frame and it would be blasted by the critics. Now, making it Twisted Metal 2 would go no wrong/ (Reply to this) |

Boss Fan writes: on Aug 10 2007 06:31 PM I liked "Death Race 2000" for the obvious siht it was. You really need to "get" Roger Corman to enjoy one of his films in this era. 4 words for this remake: BRING BACK SYLVESTER STALLONE! (Hell, he's remaking all his other films anyway). (Reply to this) |
