Rob Schneider to Direct Himself "Big" Time
by Scott Weinberg | November 04, 2005
Discuss Article
According to Variety, Rob Schneider is going to direct a movie. And since I consider Variety a pretty reliable news source, I shall now go bang my head against a wall. Schnieder will be directing "Big Stan," a comedy about a geek who learns kung fu to defend himself in prison.

""Big Stan," from an original screenplay by Josh Lieb ("The Simpsons"), concerns a weak and nebbishy con man who panics when he learns he's going to prison for fraud. He hires a mysterious martial arts guru, who transforms him into a kung fu expert who can fight off inmates who want to hurt him -- and love him."

Not surprisingly, Rob Schneider will be playing the weak and nebbishy con man. We hear the director thinks Schneider is hilarious.

Yeah, there are tons of amazingly good directors who are still virtually unknowns, or don't get enough money to make a truly good movie, but Shneider......

It's almost as bad as Uwe Boll constantly getting bigger and bigger budgets. Almost.

Oh, Robbie, why must you dig your already deep pit... deeper?

You used to be funny. Those times have passed, my old friend.

Yeh. Schneider's losing it. I'm not sure why. He's just not funny anymore. I remember almost choking on joyous laughter caused by dear old Robbie. But after that, I went hysterical not. He was part of an era. That ended. It's over. My lovely new website will hopefully never hear of this horrible, painful news. If it does? Good God, the criticism will be to the extent of a good, lengthy, computerized anaconda.

Schneider is pulling a Ben Stiller/Adam Sandler. In small doses they are hilarious, and even as full movies they can be okay. But when EVERY movie that comes out has them in it, and basically uses the same gags/lines...it just gets old, fast.

when i read "Rob Schneider To Direct Himself 'Big' Time", i was worried that he caught the remake bug from his buddy Adam Sandler and he was gonna remake Big, the Tom Hanks film. all i can say is, "Phew!"

and does anyone else notice that the few people who have stated on here that they enjoy Schneider's movies have very poor spelling and typing skills? gee, i wonder why...

Ya, i dont think dat spelling skills are required on putting opinions online because people type any shorter way to type words to save time(i.e.contractions such as can't or don't or skool instead of school or koo instead of cool or knw instead of know or u instead of you, you know what I mean). Yes, people these days are lazy so what this is America.

Anyways, I'm not going to put an opinion on this Rob Schnider movie until i see the trailer. Rob Schnider movies can be really funny at times, and can be really stupid at times so I'll wait for the trailer.

Morbidly Obese America: The Rebellion Against Spel
Sigh. Several studies have uncovered the obvious that some of you see but a good portion of you can't out of pure ignorance. The obvious is that typing the incorrect spellings or shortenings on the computer can lead to transferrals of these errors into the real world such as school, jobs, magazine articles. Thank the goddamn Lord that we have spell check.

And, just to let you know, it makes you look very ignorant and stupid.

I mean, typos that are accidents are okay. But when you're misspelling two-three words per sentence, you are obviously being stupid and lazy.

Morbidly obese America sits at the computer for hours and hours, devouring every inch of food in existence, constantly playing a chat'n'play'n'eat internet games, yet they cannot just spend a few seconds more to type out the full spelling of the word? Idiots. Pure ignorance. Glad I'm not American.
