Aimed at preteen boys, the anime follows the crime-fighting adventures of the eponymous intergalactic police squad (short for DNA INTEGRATED CYBERNETIC ENTERPRISES) as they solve cosmic dilemmas ranging from space pirates to runaway comets. The anime action centers on one specific D.I.C.E. unit, the teenaged F-99 Fortress, led by a fiery redhead named Jet and aided by the Dinobreakers, specialized vehicles that convert into large mechanical dinosaurs at the first sign of danger. The fun and kid-friendly anime series continues with this fifth volume of episodes, which finds the Dicers on cases involving espionage, mutant bacteria, and a strange planet that's stuck in the past.
