on Aug 12 2009 11:06 AM You know, I don't like bashing a critic over a review of a film I haven't seen, or for that matter, bashing a critic over a review that I disagree with. But Mr. White is so predictable that it is impossible to take anything he says seriously. What's amazing to me me is that he obviously spends a good amount of time creating something that is as bad as it is. The NY Press should really think about dumping this guy. on Aug 12 2009 11:13 AM I was JUST coming on to this website to find his email address, so that I could beg him to consider, just this once, judging an intensely popular film on its merits rather than knee-jerking in his typical, comically-predictable way. I thought Wednesday would be early enough, but he's already had time to write his Bizarro-Review. I haven't seen the film yet, so I can't judge the film's merits yet, but it is overwhelmingly clear that White just likes to draw attention to himself by declaring himself the sole voice of dissent. He's no longer a critic of films, but of public opinion, and therefore I feel his views shouldn't be expressed on a movie review website. (Reply to this) |

But if the admins are not going to include the review in the film's score I don't understand why they even bother putting it up. (Reply to this) |
