i'm predicting "district 9" will be the best film of '09.
kudo's to all involved in this sci-fi masterpiece.
it raises the bar to the same level as "alien" and "aliens."

The problem with film critics is that they have to watch so many F'n movies, that they get very, very bored. They over-value origninality. Anything that's original, they will immediately praise just because they manage to stay awake thru the whole thing. This is a prime example. Critics love it b/c its different, but they don't realize how terrible it is. U never learn **** about the characters or understand the plot, but it's so different that it keeps brain dead critics on the edge of their seats. Bottom Line: This is a 2.5 star movie that gets by on a gimic. It has 45 mins of plot, and 45 mins of filler. Critics have lost touch with reality...and can't be trusted anymore.
